Be simple. Be honest. Be Natural.

Hailing from the famously strange heart of Central Florida, Mike the Prophet came of age in a stew of Southern and Caribbean influences, and after winning awards there for his locally popular demo, Mimes In Traffic, was described in the press as "equal parts margarita and moonshine."

That rootsy and playful sound was forged in bars. With no music education, and no connections, Mike the Prophet started from the bottom, playing for strangers. Over the years in the unforgiving bar scene, he grew into a show stopper with his signature one-man-band act. Five years later, Mike the Prophet is releasing singles for his second album and touring with his full band.

With three part harmonies, engaging originals, and a wide variety of covers, from Elton John to The Avett Brothers, Mike the Prophet and the Bottom Line lives up to the words of another review: “the musical energy to make you move, and the lyrical gravity to fix you to your seat.”
